(Target Site)
The Project
The ancient tea-horse road is now culture relic protection site, installation shall take into full consideration of non-destructive construction. As the site is located in a river valley, and surrounded by steep cliffs, sporadic rockfalls threaten the road below.
The Challenge
Steep and unsupported cliffs require the construction under drilling anchorage and erecting scaffolding. Narrow passage at foot of the cliff prevents large construction tools entering the site, so most of the constructions require individual operation with light kits on cramped platform poor of installation angel.
The Solution
SLP adapts PPS-200 rockfall mitigation system on the site. The whole project covers area of 450m2, thorough reduction of the compact test requires accurate and supper deep anchor drilling to keep long time stability of the system. Safety in construction is also important in consideration of protection for cultural relics, total area of 1,200m2 elaborative anchored scaffolding is built up to fulfil the project completion with quality and quantity.
