Project Background

Xueshan Village is a paradise. Located in Ya'an, with a altitude above 1,700m and surrounded by snow mountains. It has a wide view, beautiful scenery, clouds and mist lingering, rich and diverse natural landscapes such as virgin forests, glaciers, alpine meadows, streams, etc.

The Project
Target mountain sits next the only way to Xueshan Village, and in a typical easy-to-landslide situation due to long time raining. Up to 260m from toe to top, the mountain releases a sense of oppression and unsafety.

The Challenge
Almost in 90 degrees, the mountain is spread out in a "tongue shape", narrow at the top and wide at the bottom. The slope’s elevation ranges from 906m to 1,106m, with an average width of 100m. With top covered by sparse vegetation, and large areas of exposed rocks and debris, the broken and uneven on the entire construction surface, brings big security risk and uncertainties.

The Solution
SLP adapts classic combination system of slope retention and rockfall mitigation. From anchor survey, stringing, anchor drilling, to mesh laying, every process is precise and accurate, under cautious and standard construction. All the unstable rocks and debris are wrapped by 21,708㎡APS-150 system, and 1,200㎡PPS-100 acts as the last line of defense, will intercept the rocks escape from the slope retention nets.
